The Clock project
The Clock Project was a crucial part of Mech200, and was designed to teach students the fundamentals of machining processes. Skills acquired during this project include proficiency on various manual manufacturing machinery, such as lathes vertical mills, and saws. This project was also a valuable asset in understanding the safety precautions required to operate such heavy machinery
the screwdriver project
The Screwdriver Project was designed to teach students to refine their machining skills and apply more advanced processes to machined products, such as forging and heat treating. This project allowed students to observe the effects of heat treating metals and understand the chemistry behind these processes.
the coaster project
The Coaster Project taught students to operate a Haas CNC Vertical Milling Center to perform complex machining operations. This project also allows students to complete the Haas Basic Mill Operator examination. Upon passing this exam, students will receive the Haas Basic Mill Operator certification.
